About the 2011 Audi Q7

The Audi Q7 is the result of a well thought out plan. Large (but not too much), and just enough sports and beauty that places him on the covers of car magazines, this utility / crossover (call it what you want) has suffered only very minor repairs since its launch four years ago. The largest was the 2010 model made in the case of lighthouses and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). These elements, as well as the trapezoidal grille with four rings and Audi models differ significantly from the competition.  New designs of wheels and additional chrome accents also help propel the Q7 in the new decade begins. It remains beefier than other vehicles based on the platform PL71 or the Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne, which both come to enjoy a complete overhaul.

The interior is still among the finest and most sophisticated in the category. The dials are now matched with those of the A6 sedan, the leather upholstery has been improved, new interior colors are available and the MMI is entering its third generation. In addition, all the first two rows of seats provide a comfortable king.
After the exterior design, it was high time that Audi’s powertrain upgrades Q7. Like the TT , larger engines were dropped, specifically the 3.6-liter V6 and 4.2 V8 and then replaced by the newest member of the family TFSI: A supercharged V6 3.0 liters.
Two different calibrations are available. The basic one allows the engine to generate 272 horsepower and a torque of 295 lb-ft. In Sport version, it develops 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque (like the S4).  These figures are lower than those of engines removed, but the fuel economy that accompanies everything is gold. Lighter and more efficient, the new 272-horsepower V6 burns 11.5% less oil and that of 333 horses, 15.7% less – 10.7 L/100 km in both cases. Regarding the first (and probably the most popular), it reduces the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h from a few tenths of a second. On the other hand, the 333-horsepower TFSI proves slower than the old V8 (6.9 vs. 5.8 seconds), but it consumes and pollutes much less too.
Another is the menu V6 Q7 2011: a 3.0-liter turbodiesel that produces 240 horsepower (15 more than in 2010) and a torque of 406 foot-pounds (equal). This engine has major revisions that make it more robust, lighter and definitely more energy efficient – 20% to be exact. To me, this is the preferred option. Almost as fast as the V6 petrol 272 hp, according to the manufacturer, it displays an impressive average of 8.4 L/100 km.
Inaugurated by the imposing A8 sedan , the Tiptronic eight reports eats its way into the Q7. It provides a series of improvements, including a reduction in weight of 11 kilos (24 pounds) compared to the old six-speed transmission. The increased spacing of the reports also allows the engine to operate longer at an optimal regime as required by the driver.
Friction discs fewer in the heart of the clutch and oil pump more compact flow maximized also contribute to limiting the consumption of fuel , in this case 5%. Then there is the function Auto start / stop (currently reserved for the TDI version).
All these features make the transmission extremely soft, smooth and docile. The passages prove imperceptible, so in fact we believe doing business with a box continuously variable transmission (CVT). For a sportier drive, simply engage the “S” mode, which keeps the gears longer.
Unsurprisingly, the 2011 Q7 literally floats on the road. Its management and performance brakes deliver solid as a rock of Gibraltar …! All these elements put together greatly enhances the feeling of driving safety, which allows us to run more than 200 km / h as is the practice here.  The price of the Audi Q7 2011 is around $50,000 but you can lease one for a little over $600 per month. Showing no class, luxury and efficiency than ever, this large seven-passenger utility is facing a very thin direct competition. In terms of prestige and cachet, only Mercedes-Benz GL can match it. If driving matters to you most of all, only the Q7 will fill you really.
